Hiya papayas!!

Been a bit since I got back from the trip. I'll make it short and sweet since I'm working on some stuff at the moment. I forgot to do this earlier cus the trip was kinda hectic.

As always, I go with my boyfriend @Rozebud. I'm glad we can go together, it's fun having him by my side. We took a bus to Toronto. It took about 14 hours? It was long and a bit uncomfortable, but it was a neat experience. I've never traveled on a bus like that before. Also it had been about 3 years since I've been on a bus in general.

We found a nice place to stay in the Oakville area. Things were cheaper around there than we expected. Our room was nice and came with a jacuzzi, which some of our friends found strange. The tub next to the bed is not weird, I swear...

On Saturday, Rozebud and I went to the park to the meetup. We were primarily looking for @crocid and @penkaru (if that is his account). I felt a bit awkward at first because there weren't many people there I recognized from the TMG meetup. I started talking to @punkape though and he was really cool! We also spotted CuckyDev there and we hung out with him throughout the day until we got to the bar.

At the park I also met @wandaboy, @cadaver, @snackers, @mikelzNG, and a few others. I drew some doodles in some sketchbooks and let others draw on my iPad. I wish I could've gotten more drawings, maybe I should bring an actual sketchbook next time. Would probably be more convenient.

I adored meeting @vhsdreamland! I didn't think I'd find a person in this community that loved virtual pets as much as I do. We talked about Webkinz primarily, and I told her that I designed one for the game in a contest almost ten years ago now. She thought it was awesome and we took a picture together. I'm really glad we met!

At the theater I had a bit to drink, I thought it would make the experience more fun! It did, apologies to those who did not enjoy my cackling laughter. It was a little much, I admit. But everyone else was laughing and having a good time, so hopefully it wasn't much of a bother. It helped me discover new cool animators here on NG!

I'm not sure how to embed videos on this, but my favorites were Mother's Waltz, Cavefolder, A Den for Sick Moths, and Cream, out of all the ones I hadn't seen previously. I'm a big Sublo and Tangy Mustard fan so of course I watched that. Same with Punch Punch Forever. I also love Gentles and Lunar Kicks, I'm glad they were shown.

Speaking of Sublo, I got to meet Aaron Long and Kevin Doan. I asked them for a pic and I seem to be very not photogenic in pictures others take of me. So I'm not gonna post my pics here, but there's a chance you'll find them elsewhere.

After the theater, we went to the bar, where I sat with @wailer, @magibauble and drypeg (not sure where his NG account is). I also invited punkape over. I mostly talked to Drypeg about anime and stuff. I had a few passing convos to @postboy and Snackers too about anime. I mostly stuck to Rozebud, since it's a bit hard warming up to people, but everyone was cool. At some point I saw @arkoirisangel and I adore her too!! She is so cool. I wish we could've hung out more.

I took shots with Wanda and a few others by the bar. It was awesome! We toasted to our Newgrounds bond and such. It feels good being a part of a community that helped shape me into what I am in a creative sense. Without this site and its many contributors, I may have never wanted to learn animation or do game dev stuff. It just took me a while to come out of my shell, to be confident in posting things. It also made me a bit of a bitch, but sometimes you gotta be :P

On Sunday, Rozebud and I hung out with Croc and Pen, and it was fun there too. We played Mario Kart, Smash, and Mario Party. I won Mario Party (don't ask me about the other two. I'm balls at Smash). it was cool seeing them in real life and I hope we can hang out again next year! Also Pen got us pizza. Pen is great.

This was a bit longer than I expected but we came home Monday morning to wrap things up. Next time I definitely wanna take a plane. But overall it was a fun experience and I'm so glad we were able to go. I hope I can see you guys again next year!! And hopefully stay a bit longer.

I went to TooManyGames this year with @ThatRozebudGuy and I had a great time! I was at the con last year, with @J4DS, but I definitely wanted to be here this year for the NG meetup.

Among the people I met were:

@TomFulp, @Tamag0, @ErasmusMagnus, @IvanAlmighty, @ninjamuffin99, @PhantomArcade, @SrPelo, @KawaiSprite, @Bill. @Anislug, @EliteMasterEric, @SpinalPalm, @mitchelf, @emizip @BrolyNG, @HIBACHI, @PKettles, @Barnhouse and @moawling.

It was a pleasure meeting all of you! Hopefully at the next meetup I can get more people's names and signatures.

I was mostly looking for people I recognized with my interactions in the community, but meeting new people was fun too! I hope I can do that more at the next meetup. I feel bad for not getting everyone's names, forgetting some signatures, etc. It got a lil tiring towards the end of the week, I was exhausted from all the walking and socializing a bit. I met other people outside of the meetup, such as Tyler Bourke, as well as people I didn't even expect to meet, but turned out to be cool too! Oh yeah, I met Tamers12345, which was a pleasant surprise. Also been watching his stuff for a long time, it's funny as fuck.

I got signatures from Vinny Vinesauce, SomeCallMeJohnny, AVGN, Charles Martinet, and Johnny Gioeli at the signing booths. I also got Gioeli to sign a Sonic drawing I was working on in line, so that was cool! It was funny seeing so many people there who I've been watching for 10+ years.

I did not get too much from the vendors. I recognized @darobrobber from Twitter, who was running a booth. I preordered a case for my Switch. I also bought a vintage Jigglypuff plushie to go with my mini Wigglytuff I got last year. In addition, I got a lil Kirby plush and a strawberry Katamari pillow.

Additionally, I got signatures from as many people I saw and placed them on these neat index cards. I plan on sticking them to a post board in my room. I hope to continue this trend for years to come!

I think the highlights of the event where the two meetups, the official one as well as the mini one that was held elsewhere. It was nice getting to know you guys on some level. The Crush 40 concert was a bit congested admittedly. I went outside and met new people there, too. It was still a highlight regardless of me just sitting outside. Also, playing @Bill and @Spinalpalm's (and I believe at least one other person I did not get the name(s) of, I apologize) game demo was probably the best part! Bill and Chris are really awesome guys, and their game was extremely fun to play. Expect fanart in the near future, I started on it while Rozebud played on Sunday.

Overall it was a fun experience. I had fun chatting with everyone I saw, and I hope it was nice meeting me and Rozebud too, for those who did. I look forward to becoming more involved in the community, when I can. I've always wanted to be a part of this community of creatives, people who make cool things invoking all kinds of emotions, passionate about the arts and expression. I just wasn't sure if I would fit in until recently. I believe I do :)

Hey everyone! It's been a bit since my last post here.

So, I was going to do a Pico Day animation last year but I got caught up in school work, personal stuff, and paid work. It was a lot. I was planning to finish by the next year.

Now it's next year, and I'm still swamped with paid work and personal stuff. And my mom passed away and I'm burnt out and depressed! So that's fun.

I still have a lot of passion for NG and I am working on original stuff more now, some of which may make it's way onto here. I hope soon enough I can interact here more and enter some contests, events and collabs. And collaborate with more people too!

I also need to brush up on my animation skills so bear with me... at least I'm still okay at illustrations.

I'll take some time to gush about other people that I've gotten to know in the Funkin' community. I should probably save this for a more special occasion but fuck it.

Kimmie/Noi was probably one of the first people I interacted with, and they made the first fan art of my Demon GF when she had the old design. All in all I think they're really sweet person and fun to talk to. I hope they show up to play games with the crew more.

Kenny is an obvious one. He's really cool and its funny that we have a lot in common with each other. Sometimes I wish I was more like him, in that he has a lot more confidence than I do. More than anything I want to see him succeed and prosper. He's awesome!

I'll lump in Latte, Gosh, and Siu here since I still don't know them all that well, but I think they're fun to hang out with.

It's fun to draw with you guys (and the others of course) and Mario Kart would be empty without y'all.

You guys are cool, keep kicking ass.

I already talked about Tama but I love her so much, you have no idea.

I didn't expect to really find friends in this community in general, but I feel like Tama helped me open up a bit more. And that makes me happy.

Ren and Mega are two other Soft Mod devs that I consider to be good friends. Ren is a chaotic gremlin and Mega is essentially everyone else's crack dealer. It's a funny dynamic to say the least.

They're both really cool and I'm glad I met you two!

Pip is also cool as fuck. I see a lot of potential in his character design work and art in general. I just wish he would hang out when the squad is playing together more, because he really is fun to be around.

This is an invitation to get your ass in calls. Gonna slap you. Lovingly.

Shin is nice to talk to and has a lot going on at the moment, which I feel like I can relate to. I've been in that situation before, where I was in love with someone and my feelings were played with. Honestly I wish him all the best and I'm always here to help.

Short section for Posty since we've only talked once so far but he's cool too. I love his art and animations even outside of FNF and he's funny too. And Lupin fans are always good in my book.

Oh and Crystal too! Crystal was the first person I've worked with that really had a passion for NG stuff like I do. He's chill and nice to talk to, and it's fun playing Binding of Isaac with him. I also introduced him to Lupin and he likes it. I think. So that's cool/

Sand also helped me get to where I am today, which I am grateful for. Sand is honestly a pretty cool guy, and I'm excited for his projects too.

I'll put a special section in here for Disky too, even though we've known each other for years before we started working on the game.

Special thanks to Dox, Hamm, Hum, Gweb, Bishop, Luci, and of course everyone else who has supported me through this journey. I love you all and I'm so glad I became a part of this community!

And extra special thanks to Cam (who we know as wacky little coder man ninjamuffin) for making the game in the first place along with PhantomArcade, evilsk8r, and KawaiSprite. As mentioned before I have an endless amount of love for this loveletter to the 2000's, in all it's crude, gory, and horny glory.

Okay, this might be a silly post to make, but I'm gonna do it anyway.

Basically, I feel like this game scratched an itch for me. There haven't been many rhythm games I've been interested in for a while. Sure, there's Project Diva on Switch, and I enjoy that, but I'm not the biggest Vocaloid fan. Or rather, I'm only a fan of a few songs.

I also tried playing the new pop'n music, but I had no idea how to install the thing. And it was in Japanese.

And Rhythm Heaven? More like where the Rhythm Hell did it go? And Parappa has been dead for years. Rap Rabbit couldn't get backed. Sad days.

But then I see Friday Night Funkin' on Twitter, this neat little game with cool music and characters, and a style reminiscent of old Flash cartoons. As someone who grew up with them, who was directly inspired by them and their creators to animate myself, I was hooked. I loved it.

What I didn't realize until a bit later though was the potential to modify it. It's open source, which means its extremely based. Hella good shit right there. But also, it's pretty easy to add your own stuff in.

This was the game I was waiting for, for so long. A customizable rhythm game. An OPEN SOURCE customizable rhythm game. That's so fucking cool.

Funny thing is, I had a similar idea myself. It would've been a bit more complex than what FNF is, but it was a rhythm game idea that would allow for the same level of customization (adding in your own songs and characters) while having it's own story. I still wanna do that idea someday. I just have to make a decent prototype first.

Anyway, I'm really glad this game made it's way into my life. I don't care much that it's helped me grow, in ways of connections and popularity. I could do without it, although it is nice. I just really love everything the game stands for. It's made me appreciate NG on a whole new level. It's made me want to go back to my roots. It's made me realize more of what I want to do! I think making games and collaborating with others on projects is really fun.

Maybe one day me and a team of people could make our own game that people love. I want to inspire others to get into creative expression, just like the many people of this site did for me. People like Edd Gould, or Edmund McMillen.

My only regret is not getting into this site sooner.

But we can only go forward!

Hiya papayas! I want to thank you all for enjoying my work and reading, first of all.

Now, I want to give a rundown on what I'll be doing soon. Most of it is related to Friday Night Funkin'.

Demon GF Mod: This one needs some art reworking because I gave the demon form a redesign. Other than that, The music still needs to be done. Instrumentals for the first and third songs have been done for a bit, now we just need the second song completed as well as the vocals for all.

Neferfiti Mod: Another mod idea I had. I wanted to put more funk into Friday Night Funkin'. Music is still in development, and I haven't finished any art yet, simply because Demon GF was the one I tackled first. I still want to do this project, however.

Aeon Mod: Maybe? I dunno, I had a weird idea to have my bastard reality bender character be the basis of a mod. Someone from my Inta-Strella world of characters, anyway. I figured Aeon would be a fun opponent.

Funny interactive game: Secret, but it's raunchy and shit.

Animated music video: Doing another one of these. Hopefully I can post it here.

More of another mod: Possibly.

I'm also going to try finishing up my Pico Day animation sometime over the summer. Consider it a late entry for next year, if that's allowed. I'll try participating in Robot Day as well, whether that be in game form, movie form, or just an art piece. Robots are really fucking cool, and I have a lot of ideas.

I also definitely want to do World Wide Web Animated with you guys. I'll be storyboarding the whole thing before I open it up for collaboration. Hopefully I can get enough people for that.

That's about it for now! Hope you guys are excited for the future!
